"It's been 3 years since I began teaching with LNA Health Careers. Within moments of my first encounter with Shelly Ling, the Director, I knew this was an organization I wanted to be affiliated with. After 30 years of being an LPN, I know what I want and need from my career, and what I don't want. I quickly learned, Shelly and I share much of the same philosophy in nursing. I respect and admire her for her hard work and ability to run this business.
Shelly is a wonderful employer. She sets high standards for herself, her employees and the students we graduate. Her strong work ethic, positive attitude, enthusiasm and compassion are all contagious to those of us who work with and for her. She's an easy person to approach, even when she's geographically far away. She genuinely cares about her employees and is supportive on every level.
The office staff of LNA Health Careers is the best there is. They are all dedicated, hard working individuals, supportive of every person who calls or comes into the office. The people who make up LNA Health Careers is reason enough to want to work there. The additional benefits are the students, the long term care facilities and staff, and the geriatric population we work with.
Upon entering the facility I train my students in, we're greeted like long lost friends. We're welcomed with open arms, by staff and residents, very much appreciated for all we do when we are there. My students come from a large variety of backgrounds with excitemend radiating from them. I take great pride in watching them rapidly grow into a much needed profession. Many of them stay in touch for years after completing my class. It's a joy to hear where their beginning with me as an Instructor has taken them.
I have the best of both worlds. I love teaching and I love the geriatric population. I can honestly say I make a positive difference in many lives every day I go to work. Doesn't everyone want that? What more could I ask for?"
